BIOGRAPHY

He was born and lives in Milan, Italy.

After graduation at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Milan and one year at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, in 1989 opened his first studio and started a career as a free-lance illustrator.
Upon his return after a few years spent in Taiwan he joined other colleagues and now works as an editorial and advertising illustrator at studio Sottomarino.His works have granted him international recognition in both the editorial and advertising areas. His versatility has allowed him to move freely from tight rendering to more loose and expressive styles. He’s been on Associazione Illustratori’s Board, the Italian Illustrators’ Association since 1992 and its President from 2001 to 2005.
He’s currently teaching conceptual illustration at Milan’s IED – European Design Institute.

Since 2004 he has been on the EIF - European Illustrators Forum’s Board and he’s now its President.

TECHNIQUES
He freely moves amongst traditional techniques including pencil drawing, acrylics and oil painting on canvas and digital graphic software’s for painting, image editing and animation.
